Executive Insider, biweekly newsletter of ExecuNet (May 18, 2009) reported some good news for Job Seeker.
One in 10 executive search firms plan to hire additional professional staff over the next three months, as executive search firms’ practices begin to stabilize and plan for future growth after a significant drop in corporate hiring at the executive level in recent months.
ExecuNet’s April survey of 142 executive recruiters found that 9.9 percent indicated their firms will add professional staff in the next three months, up from just 6.7 percent of responding firms with similar hiring plans in March.
Recruiters’ short-term confidence also increased slightly in April, as 18 percent reported being confident or very confident the executive employment market will improve during the next three months — up from 15 percent in March.
